Connecting Texas Students to the Real Infrastructure Powering Our Future
The TBGA Grid Experience Scholarship gives selected students at Texas universities and colleges something rare: fully funded, hands-on access to the actual energy infrastructure that powers Texas and the nation.
This is not a classroom lecture or virtual tour. Selected students participate in guided site visits and experiential learning sessions at facilities most people never get to see — from live grid control rooms and high-voltage substations to utility-scale generation and storage sites, Bitcoin mining operations, manufacturing plants, and active construction projects.

Launched at the Texas Power Summit 2026 at Texas A&M University, this program closes the gap between classroom theory and real-world infrastructure. It is designed to inspire and prepare the next generation of energy professionals who will build and operate Texas’s expanding grid.
